MediaCom wins Silver in the 13th Annual IAB Bookmark Awards for Excellence in Digital Media

MediaCom has been recognized in the IAB Bookmark Awards for Excellence in Digital Media with a silver ‘Pixel’ award in partnership with client, Distell.

The award-winning campaign demonstrated that in a category heavily impacted by the pandemic and related restrictions, growth could still be unlocked through strategies and tactics that challenge conventional thinking.

Distell’s silver-winning campaign, ‘Savanna Virtual Comedy Bar 2.0’, was created to support local comedians, with Savanna compensating comedians to give South Africans a burst of much-needed laughter, during the coronavirus pandemic by calling on all Comedy and Savanna fans to tune into Comedy Central - Live from the Savanna Virtual Comedy Bar, adapted from our previous successful format of the online show from the first wave on YouTube. The show was broadcasted on a Sunday evening when our comedy fans were most ready to unwind, switch off and laugh.

The recognition came by successfully meeting the criteria in demonstrating excellence in digital campaign work, creating compelling and innovative digital marketing that delivers business results.

The IAB Bookmark Awards, an IAB SA initiative, reward excellence in digital and recognise the powerful impact interactive has on the overall marketing mix. The Bookmark Awards sets the benchmark for tech, digital and leading-edge innovation. The award-winning work inspires and educates the industry about the power to build brands through creative and high-impact digital executions that deliver measurable results.
