After being named Adweek's Global Media Agency of the Year, Sasha Savic, U.S. CEO, joined Adweek's agencies editor Jameson Fleming and Breakthrough agency of the year, VaynerMedias SVP Antonia Swan, on stage at MediaWeek on March 22nd.
For the second year in a row and the third time in the last five years, Adweek has awarded MediaCom Global Agency of the Year, and in 2021 Savic himself was also recognized as Adweek's Executive of the Year.
Savic shared three principles as to why and how to set up for success now and in the future:
Be relevant: The world around us is changing faster than ever before — the consumer, technology, media, and our lives. Understanding these changes and connecting them to business strategies with agility is critical. An agency's #1 job is to lead clients through the changing landscape with confidence and conviction and help them embrace the future.
Be transformative: Do not etch things in the stone… it takes a lot of time and effort, and by the time you are done, the world has already changed and will continue to do so. Staying ready for the constant state of transformation is why clients choose to work with us.
Be inventive: The business leaders and organizations we celebrate in today's world are those who invented something better, made something easier, or found a different way to do things. Disruption is an expected and welcomed necessity for brands with the ambition to win.
