MediaCom wins two Gold and a Silver in the 13th Annual Internationalist Awards for Innovation in Media

MediaCom has been recognized in the Internationalist Awards for Innovation in Media with two gold and a silver award in partnership with clients, Ally Bank, and Uber. These campaigns were innovative, purpose and passion-driven, meaningful, and demonstrated that growth is possible with the right strategies and tactics in place – even during a pandemic.

Ally Bank’s gold-winning campaign, ‘Ally Animal Crossings’, invited Animal Crossing players to experience interactive elements, where players could exchange virtual currency that brought Ally’s brand promise of “the smarter way to bank” to life.

The second gold-winning campaign was with Uber. Uber’s ‘Move what Matters’ campaign focused on boycotting Uber’s own product and focusing on people. During the height of the pandemic, Uber discouraged people from using its service and instead focused on providing essential workers rides and delivering meals to frontline workers.

Lastly, the silver award went to Ally Bank for an activation within Reddit's "walled garden" where users could be rewarded through digital currency for posting content liked by others.

The Awards for Innovation in Media believes that innovation is essential to today's effective media thinking in a world where messages are becoming instantly global. The awards honor inspiring case studies scored for insights, strategy, and results across all product categories and reflect the way companies market their products around the globe. Unlike many awards that cite the best in a single product or media category, The Awards for Innovation in Media enable all case studies to compete equally across all classifications; winners are those with the highest point scores.
