Impossible™ Foods makes MediaCom their media agency partner on their first-ever national campaign - “We are Meat”.
The campaign aims to build awareness of Impossible™ Foods’ Flagship product such as the Impossible™ Burger which is now available in grocery stores nationwide. The Impossible™ Burger, which contains no animal ingredients, animal hormones, or antibiotics, tastes like beef and is hailed as a triumph of food engineering -- the result of nearly a decade of research and development. The campaign's goal is to challenge the notion that meat must come exclusively from animals.
Impossible™ Foods' "We Are Meat” campaign will run for around eight weeks and is the largest marketing campaign after a year of blockbuster growth for Impossible™ Foods. Impossible™ Burger was sold in about 150 grocery stores one year ago: it’s now available in more than 20,000 grocery stores nationwide.
Based in California’s Silicon Valley, Impossible™ Foods makes nutritious dairy and meat alternative products — with a much smaller environmental footprint than meat from animals. The privately held company was founded in 2011 by Patrick O. Brown, M.D., Ph.D., Professor Emeritus of Biochemistry at Stanford University, and a former Howard Hughes Medical Institute investigator. Investors include Khosla Ventures, Bill Gates, Google Ventures, Horizons Ventures, UBS, Viking Global Investors, Temasek, Sailing Capital, and Open Philanthropy Project.
