The collective voice of our ERGS ensure we understand the needs of our employees and help to support MediaCom’s inclusion strategy and they provide a sense of community, inclusion and belonging within the company.

Kate Rowlinson – Chief Executive Officer


Kate is the CEO of MediaCom UK and has been part of the MediaCom family for over ten years. Having worked across the EMEA region and extensively across MediaCom’s worldwide network, she brings a wealth of global experience.

Kate is passionate about People First, our long-standing philosophy. She has been integral to the launch of mandatory training on microaggressions and allyship, introduced to build active allies, along with a sponsorship programme to enable diverse talent to progress.

Kate has worked across several MediaCom roles, from Head of New Business & Marketing for the EMEA region, leading successful global pitches for eBay Europe, Danone and the global Mars business. Kate has also worked closely with leadership teams across EMEA, North America, Latin America and APAC to unify client servicing and service delivery.

Kate resides in London with her husband and two children.

Luke Bozeat – Chief Operating Officer


Luke joined MediaCom as a graduate in 2000 and has worked across multiple sectors including Motors, FMCG, Finance, Charity, Entertainment, Technology and Retail.

Luke has had many roles at MediaCom showing a clear indication of Luke’s understanding of end to end marketing and media's influence upon it.

In his role as COO, Luke not only looks after client accounts and is dedicated to helping them grow but as part of the Leadership team he is the oil that keeps the agency running smoothly. This is achieved by continuously evolving the agency structure to be agile in the face of an ever-changing industry, as well as investing in technology and tools that will keep MediaCom at the bleeding edge of creativity and innovation.

Elaine Bremner – Chief HR and Talent Officer


Elaine joined MediaCom in 2011 as Chief People Officer for MediaCom APAC, setting the people strategy across 13 markets. She joined the UK business in 2016 with a clear remit: deliver an industry leading people vision.

Elaine has a passion for creating opportunities for people, ensuring we give everyone the chance to thrive and have a meaningful long-term career. This has been recognised through MediaCom UK’s Gold and Platinum accreditation from the IPA for demonstrating a genuine culture of learning.

Elaine is committed to creating a culture where everyone at MediaCom feels they belong and has been instrumental in ensuring MediaCom is leading the industry in all the work we do around DE&I.

Outside of work, Elaine is a single mum to three kids, an avid Sunderland FC supporter and has a slight obsession with all things shark related.

Geoff de Burca – Chief Strategy Officer


Geoff is MediaCom CSO, having been promoted from Managing Partner: Head of CID (MediaCom’s strategy department). He has 20 years’ experience in the industry, starting out as a market researcher in 1997, before moving into media planning in 2000. He’s been at MediaCom since 2010.

He has planned across a wide range of categories with a particular interest in helping to change behaviour for a wide range of charities and public sector clients. He also has extensive experience in Retail, FMCG and Motors. Areas of focus throughout his time as a strategist include planning to drive behaviour change, and brand response planning.

Claudine Collins – Chief Client Officer


Claudine Collins is MediaCom UK’s Chief Client Officer. A member of the ExCo, her role is to ensure the client relationships and service are of the utmost quality.

Claudine has been in the industry for 30 years, forging strong, high level relationships with clients, media owners and colleagues. Starting in press buying, she became Head of Investment before being promoted to Managing Director of MediaCom UK in 2012 and subsequently Chief Client Officer in 2019.

Since 2013, Claudine has appeared in BBC1’s “The Apprentice” interviewing the final five candidates and features every year as the business expert in BBC2’s “You’re Fired!”.

Claudine is involved in numerous charities; she sits on the corporate board of CRUK and is heavily involved with the Lords Taverner's charity. From 2012 to 2019 Claudine was on the executive committee of children's charity Rays of Sunshine.

Paul Cooper – Chief Operating Officer, MediaCom North Group


Paul joined MediaCom as Regional head of Digital in 2011, launching and developing our specialist digital offering i-Lab. Paul then progressed to MD of our Manchester office, overseeing its growth and evolution into a market leader for digital activation (recently voted Drum’s 8th most respected digital operation in the UK) and growing D2C clients and dot.com brands. He also led the acquisition and integration of digital transformation specialists Code Computerlove. Paul is COO of our North operation (Leeds, Manchester, Birmingham and Code Computerlove) and has overseen its growth to the largest regional network and integration with our UK operation helping deliver One MediaCom.

A great example of this is our newly launched UK Google Practice, where we have organised all our data, engineering, CRO/UX, PPC, SEO and programmatic capability into one community that is at the forefront of how we ensure our clients use the Google ecosystem to grow their businesses powered by 1st party data.

Richard Davies – Chief Digital Officer


Richard joined MediaCom at the start of 2019 as head of digital and conversion on the Lloyds Banking Group account. He quickly expanded his remit to become the digital lead on several key accounts, including Sky, Tesco & TUI and in April 2020 he moved into the role of Chief Digital Officer.

Richard has a wealth of agency experience across both media and creative, previously leading the global Vodafone digital relationship at WPP/Wavemaker for three years and before that spending several years in the cut and thrust of management at smaller independent agencies.

A straight-talking person, Richard prides himself on client-led transformation. He brings clients the solutions he knows they need, rather than those they want, and enjoys driving change by devising strategies for substantial business issues.

Outside of work he enjoys spending time with his family, Labrador and bicycle!

Nigel Lee – Chief Commercial Finance Officer


I joined MediaCom as Chief Commercial Finance Officer in 2019, and as part of the Leadership team my role is to provide commercial insight and strategic direction to the business from a financial perspective.

Nigel has more than 20 years of experience in finance and commercial roles within practice and agencies. He started his career at PwC before joining Mindshare in 2003 followed by regional roles at GroupM and MEC based in London and Singapore. Before starting at MediaCom in 2019, and re-joining WPP, Nigel worked in various roles within Omnicom, Publicis and Dentsu.

Nicola Marsh – Managing Director, MediaCom Manchester


Nicola joined MediaCom North in August 2013 and has a wealth of experience working with clients across a variety of sectors. For the last 26 years, Nicola has worked across digital planning, negotiation, product development and management with a real focus on digital.

Nicola’s current role as Managing Director of Mediacom North Group and Google Practice involves managing the smooth running of the agency and ensuring our clients receive impeccable service at all levels.

Nicola is a fully accredited personal performance and corporate coach and has a keen interest for training and development. Nicola’s passion in supporting the EXCO achieve People First, Better Results involves a focus on providing a fantastic working environment for our people. To achieve this, real emphasis on creating a diverse workplace which is supportive and full of opportunity for all.

Karen Blackett OBE – Chairwoman


Karen is a proven business leader with a track record in creating vibrant cultures, energising teams and consistently delivering business growth and success. She is U.K. Country Manager for WPP, the world’s largest marketing services group, and U.K. CEO of GroupM, the world’s leading media investment company.

In June 2014, Karen received an OBE in the Queen's Birthday honours and topped the Power List, being the first woman to come in at number 1. In November 2018 Karen won the Inspirational Leader category at the Ethnicity Awards and was appointed Race Equality Business Champion by the U.K. Prime Minister.

In 2019 Karen was appointed as a Non-Executive Director for the U.K. Government Cabinet Office and has most recently been voted one of the Top 100 Great Black Britons.

James MacKenzie – Chief Investment Officer


James joined MediaCom in 2017 following a stint at PHD UK where his most recent role was Director of Investment. His previous experience in media and investment led to his move to MediaCom as Head of Investment. In this role, James implemented a new structure at MediaCom and maintained the agency’s relationships with clients and media owners.

Promoted to Chief Investment Officer (CIO) in 2019, James continues his success at the company following his role as Head of Investment. His new role as CIO expands on his previous work to continue MediaCom’s growth digitally and further the agency’s partnerships and investment.

Simon Price – Managing Director, MediaCom Leeds


Simon has been in the media industry for over 25 years, starting his career in the display sales department of the Bradford Telegraph and Argus after university. Following a short and disappointing career in Ad sales, he moved quickly through a variety of media agencies until he joined the Leeds based independent agency Brilliant Media in December 1999, as an Account Executive. Brilliant media was acquired by MediaCom in December 2011 and by that time Simon was a Board Director. Simon continued working in the Leeds office becoming the Managing Director in 2016 and was asked to also oversee the Birmingham office in June 2020. Simon lives near Ilkely in Yorkshire with his wife and daughter.

Satin Reid – Managing Director, UK


Satin joined MediaCom at the start of 2017 to jointly run the London office and in 2019 she became the Managing Director of the UK. She oversees our client relationships and as part of the UK ExCo is dedicated to accelerating our talent and capabilities as an agency. She is a member of WACL and MEFA and a passionate advocate for better representation and inclusivity in media.

Prior to joining MediaCom, Satin worked at Dentsu for 12 years where she was responsible for leading some of the most successful partnerships in the agency for both UK and global clients. She spent the early part of her career in media planning and strategy, building a wealth of experience around the challenges and needs of clients, across multiple categories.

David Shearer – Managing Director, MediaCom Edinburgh


After university, David started his advertising career in London before fulfilling a variety of roles at various media agencies throughout his now 32 years working in media. He joined MediaCom Edinburgh just over 20 years ago and has been Managing Director for the last 11 years. In his time at MediaCom, David has worked closely with the likes of RBS, Standard Life, Scottish Government and VisitScotland. He’s still involved across MediaCom Edinburgh’s current client portfolio such as Subway, Trivago, Tesco Bank & Scottish Widows.

David has held roles in virtually every aspect of the media business from leading strategy for brands spending tens of millions to buying niche titles for businesses spending tens of thousands. He has also co-ordinated multi-territory activities for Global and European clients.

David is married with two adult daughters and a German Shepherd named Teddy.

Nancy Lengthorn – Global Chief Inclusion and Culture Officer


Nancy Lengthorn has worked in the Media industry since 1999 and is currently Head of Inclusion and Belonging at WPP and MediaCom.

Nancy is a passionate advocate for equity and better understanding of the narrative of oppression and how society’s ‘isms’ are linked.

In 2017, Nancy implemented a Mental Health Allies programme at MediaCom and this evolved into a viral campaign with ‘The Book of Man’ seeing MediaCom Mental Health Allies lobbying other companies to put similar schemes into place. Nancy has grown MediaCom’s Mental Health work into a core area of company culture, with all new starters now receiving Mental Health training upon starting at the company.

2018 saw Nancy awarded as Top Champion by the ‘Investing in Ethnicity Awards’ and MediaCom also picked up a Festival of Media Gold award for their work in the area of Diversity and Inclusion.

Outside of MediaCom, Nancy is a mother of four young children and is Trustee of a charity that works with disadvantaged families and runs a mentoring and work experience programme encouraging social mobility at a local girls school.

Sue Unerman – Chief Transformation Officer


In a world that is changing faster than any of us can quite get used to, business needs people who can not only see the next change coming, but can also explain it to the rest of us.

Sue is one of these rare people. She’s a “clarifier”.

Editor in chief at Campaign, Gideon Spanier, says: “Sue has led the way when it comes to driving change and challenging stereotypes”

In her current role she drives transformation for MediaCom and their clients.

Sue has authored 3 books: Belonging, the Key to Transforming and Maintaining Diversity, Inclusion and Equality at Work, : Esquire Magazine called it “The most important business book of the year”. The Glass Wall, success strategies for women at work and businesses that mean business and Tell the Truth, honesty is your most powerful marketing tool.

Claire Ferguson – Managing Partner, Head of Agency Communications


Dan Wood – Managing Partner, Head of Creative Systems UK


Dan joined MediaCom as a graduate in 2000. Since then he has gained experience across a diverse range of business sectors including Motors, Entertainment, FMCG, Charity, Government, Technology and Retail.

Dan started his career in the Investment team and has progressed from there to take on leadership roles within trading, implementational planning and creative partnerships. This broad perspective means that he has a unique understanding of the business, its people and how best to leverage both to deliver maximum value for clients.

In his role as Head of Creative Systems UK, Dan is focused on helping clients to ‘See The Bigger Picture’ by bringing together media and creative to accelerate growth. This means leading a team that develops the most potent ideas to drive cultural relevance (from Influencer Marketing to Branded Entertainment & partnerships), the most integrated, addressable ideas to drive personal relevance (through our Addressable Creative and Creative Analytics offering) and the most authoritative ideas to drive platform relevance (via our SEO and Social products).

Victoria Appleby – Managing Partner & Business Group Head

Victoria began her journey with WPP back in 2000 and has worked at a number of agencies within the group. She has a breadth and depth of experience in media, holding roles in investment, implementation, communication planning & client leadership during her career. Victoria has been at MediaCom since 2008, working across a broad range of clients and categories including FMCG, energy, charity, retail & digital innovation. Since 2018 Victoria has led Business Group 4 at MediaCom London, a team of brilliant practioners who are focused on delivering excellence for their clients.

Mark Wallace – Managing Partner, Head of Performance


Mark is in his second stint at MediaCom having started his career in the Direct department in 2004 before re-joining from Carat in 2015 to lead Sky’s acquisition planning. Throughout his career Mark has worked on performance focused clients such as Direct Line, Churchill, Green Flag, British Gas, T-Mobile and LV. All of these accounts have demanded a rigorous, data-led approach, as well as a requirement to balance short and long term objectives. Now working as Head of Performance, Mark works across the agency ensuring we deliver sustainable growth for our clients through industry leading performance marketing solutions.

Hannah McWilliam – Managing Partner

Hannah is a relatively new member of the MediaCom family having joined to run Sky Group as Managing Partner in 2018. Always as a Planner, Hannah the Planner arrived with us from GroupM having devoted 5 years to Lloyds Banking Group, moving across brands, agencies and crises! Her formative years were spent working at Vizeum across Coca-Cola, 20th Century Fox and Heinz.

Hannah is a passionate ambassador for our People First philosophy and is convinced that by starting with a people strategy and then building out to our clients’ and own business growth plans, we will continue to lead the market.

She prefers to be outside than indoors (weather allowing) and gets her energy from her team, friends, family and HIIT!

Pauline Robson – Managing Partner


People are crucial to our business, and for Pauline that means understanding consumers. As head of Real World Insight, MediaCom’s research and insight division, her mission is to make sure that MediaCom has the best consumer understanding of any agency so that can create the most effective campaigns for our clients. This is done through award-winning panels such as Real World Britain, projects such as Britain Decoded or initiatives such as method insight, which encourages our people to get out in to the real world and walk a mile in the shoes of their target audience.

Pauline joined MediaCom in 2007 as head of quantitative research. In 2009 she was promoted to director and became head of Real World Insight the following year. Since then RWI has won a number of awards, including being twice recognised as the best research team in a media agency at the bi-annual MRG awards.

Tom Curtis – Executive Creative Director


Tom joined MediaCom way back in 2000 with an art degree and a 2-year stint at another agency under his belt. Since then he’s had a number of distinct roles including planner, Joint Head of MediaCom Create, and more recently Head of MediaCom Beyond Advertising UK, the content division that preceded the launch of our global Creative Systems offering.

In 2019 Tom became MediaCom UK’s first ECD. His role sees him working with many of MediaCom’s largest clients on big ideas that transcend the customary route of TV-first advertising.

Related very much to his passion for encouraging creativity amongst the next generation of talent, Tom is also the dad behind the 800k+ followed, and Webby nominated, Instagram account, @thingsihavedrawn.

Paul Tremain – Managing Partner, Content


Paul leads our Content work for the agency and has been with us for 7 years. He brings experience from working with brands, broadcasters and agencies and in his current role is responsible for the content solutions across social, influencer marketing and branded entertainment. He was responsible for award winning projects such as ‘Extreme Everest with Berocca’, winning Gold for Best use of Content at the Festival of Media and Best Advertiser Funded programme at the Broadcast Awards for ‘Tour De Celeb’ with Skoda.

He is passionate about partnering brands with content that audiences want to spend time in turn creating effective outcomes.

Catherine Pronzato – Managing Partner


Catherine joined MediaCom in 2010, as part of the Media Futures team that advised clients on how to prepare for the impact of digital on all channels. She then created and led a new department of multi-disciplined implementation planners who went on to build new planning tools and systems to support us in the increasingly complicated media landscape.

She has a thorough understanding and passion for building, leading and motivating large, multidisciplinary teams to deliver business growth and success for clients. She truly believes that culture drives results and developing the right blend of skillsets and behaviours enable the best outcomes for businesses.

Catherine is currently Head of Business Group 1, leading over £250m worth of business across all categories and disciplines where she combines her people skills & commercial knowledge to build strong relationships across her client portfolio, as well as leading a number of new business wins.

Graeme Canter – Managing Partner, Head of Media Operations


Graeme is the current UK's Head of Media Operations, having previously jointly managed the digital performance division and the Investment teams. Graeme started his career at MediaCom in 2000 and has since held seven different positions within the investment and operational functions at MediaCom UK. His main role is to make sure things work across multiple media channels and to save people time through the development of automation and standardisation of processes. During his time at MediaCom, he has helped bring in numerous new business accounts and works very closely with GroupM and WPP to ensure a smooth running of all the IT and tech requirements. In addition to this, he is a mental health ally and heads up MediaCom’s Faith ERG.

Jane Christian – Managing Partner, Head of Systems Intelligence


Jane leads the Systems Intelligence team in the UK after joining MediaCom as a Graduate Econometrician back in 2001.

For the majority of her career, Jane has honed her skills in media measurement. She is passionate about setting up measurement frameworks for clients that provide holistic measurement across channels, capturing both the short and longer-term effects of media, so we can advise MediaCom’s clients on how to maximise the return from their media budgets.

In her 20 years at MediaCom, she has worked on a wide range of clients including DLG, IKEA, GSK, RBS, Boots, Centrica and Tesco.

Jane has led the Systems Intelligence team since 2020, pulling together MediaCom’s data, analytics and insights capability into one team.

Her passion for effectiveness has led Jane to push the effectiveness agenda for the wider industry. She has worked extensively with Thinkbox on a number of effectiveness projects, including the recent award-winning Demand Generation. She has also worked closely with the IPA, running agency effectiveness conferences alongside EffWeek. Jane was also a technical judge for the IPA Effectiveness Awards in 2020.

In 2008 Jane was one of Media Week’s 30 under 30.

When she’s not crunching numbers, Jane is a keen golfer, working on getting her handicap down.

Rachel Peace – Managing Partner


Rachel has been a Managing Partner and Head of KR MediaCom – MediaCom’s luxury Group – since September 2018. KR MediaCom aim is to combine the highest level of account management service, audience insight and sector expertise to a portfolio of aspirational brands and clients.

Since Rachel joined MediaCom in 2013, she has worked across a broad spectrum of clients with a particular strength in retail, digital/e-commerce and both UK and multi-national brands. She was previously MediaCom’s Head of Retail during which time we were recognised with numerous award wins from Campaign and Ad week in this sector in addition to a number of successful new business pitches.

Rebecca Marshall – Managing Partner


Rebecca has over 20 years experience in every aspect of the media industry across a variety of brands and categories. She first joined MediaCom in 2000, honing her client service and strategic planning skills across a number of sectors including retail, FMCG, finance and autos. After a brief stint at a boutique digital agency between 2007 and 2010, she returned to her spiritual media home to follow her passion for forging strong client partnerships, producing great work and growing happy, high-functioning teams. MediaCom’s “People First, Better Results” philosophy is close to Rebecca’s heart as it encapsulates the collaborative ethos that has been part of the agency since she joined and which fosters the skills and approach that really do drive better work and outcomes for our clients.

As a Managing Partner and Business Group Head, Rebecca is responsible for 80+ people, over £180m worth of business and sits as part of the MediaCom leadership team helping to shape the agency for the future.

Sonya Arthur – Managing Partner


Sonya started her MediaCom career in 2000 as a press buyer, transitioning over the years to trading across multi-media channels. By understanding the importance of always putting her client’s objectives first, she transitioned into a Business Director role in TED, The Entertainment Division at MediaCom, where she combined her people skills & commercial knowledge to build strong relationships across her client portfolio. Sonya was appointed Managing Partner & Head of TED in 2017 and has managed significant operational change within the team as well as leading a number of new business wins. Working across the entertainment & lifestyle industry has secured her expertise in driving cultural relevance for her clients along with building a cohesive team structure to deliver real agility and fast placed outcomes.

Owain Wilson – Managing Partner, Head of Data, Technology & Analytics Strategy


Owain is our Data, Technology and Digital Analytics lead. Owain has been at MediaCom over 14 years and has held a broad range of roles across a number of our leading clients. More recently, Owain has focused on helping both global and UK brands across a broad range of industries, utilising their data to deliver transformative results. Client experience includes: eBay, Shell, DFS, TUI, Sky and Adidas.

Passionate about all things data, technology and analytics, Owain has spend the last couple of years working predominantly with global automotive brands, Stellantis and Shell. He has pushed clients into new ways, utilising data including establishing a global audience segmentation framework for Stellantis that has been adopted by 20+ markets as well as an advanced analytics solution for Shell that transformed the way they target audiences. This campaign has received both a WARC Media Award and festival of Media Award for best use of data.

Owain re-joined the MediaCom UK team in 2020 with remit to provide thought leadership and direction for the agency, clients and people in how we best utilise data, technology and analytics.

Owain passionately believes that data and technology are the key enabler in generating solutions that can solve clients’ business challenges. It’s what gets him excited. He loves nothing more than helping clients realise the potential of their 1st party data to create innovated solutions and products that answer specific business challenges. And most recently, importantly deliver a return on investment.

Outside of work Owain is the proud father of three children, a keen golfer and for his sins – a Tottenham Hotspur fan.

James Hyams – Managing Partner, Head of Business Development


James started in Media in 2003 working in direct response as a media planner/buyer. Following stints at other agencies working on clients such as Virgin Media, British Gas and LV= amongst others, James joined MediaCom in 2015.

As a client lead, James has worked across a number of our clients including CRUK, Tesco Mobile, PSA and Boots UK. Combining a data driven approach and a performance planning mindset from his early days in DR.

In 2020 James was made Head of Business Development and is charged with driving growth from both new business and additional services.

James Parnum – Managing Partner, Head of Planning


James has 15 years of media planning experience, helping to build some of Britain’s biggest brands including John Lewis and Waitrose. He has been at MediaCom since 2015. Currently, the Partner on the Tesco Group account, leading the brand when we onboarded them (he left MGOMD after a decade to take on the role) and has overseen the team that has helped transform the brand through successful long-term campaign planning.

The Tesco turnaround has been significant and seen them pick up three Grand Prix’s in three years at Cannes Lions, Thinkbox, and most recently, IPA Effectiveness.

He has a huge passion for all forms of planning from strategy to execution and everything in between. He has made it his personal mission to put the pride back into planning, which is a crucial component to delivering the Seeing the Bigger Picture vision.

At MediaCom I’ve had the opportunity to explore a diverse set of challenges and roles: I’ve led client teams in the UK, managed the UK Planning Department, headed up our UK New Business team and led global client teams across multiple territories. I’m now leading a business group of amazing clients and helping transform the agency with new Agile working practices.
