The Global Operations Data Manager is responsible for supporting the Global Operations Director in managing the day-to-day data requirements to ensure the smooth running of the Dell account across the globe. S/he assists in maintaining data platforms, developing and deploying process as required, creatively problem solving for data issues and provides data analysis to the Global Account Director (GAD), the Global Ops director, and/or the other global team as required.

Job Role

The successful candidate for this role will play a key role in the co-ordination and maintenance of the global planning platform and creating reports for multiple stakeholders. They will identify, recommend and implement opportunities that drive greater efficiencies and effectiveness in the platforms leveraged and over time will become the go to point of contact for planning data/ reports, training and support to use planning platform .

The Global Operations Data manager will need to have a strong understanding of how data systems work and need to be input and maintained, as well as strong analytical skills.


Tools and data management

  • Maintain the platform and ensure data is being input in a consistent and timely manner into the media planning system
  • Train teams on usage of media plan platform, create / maintain user guides and support trouble shooting user issues in partnership with the MC teams responsible for the platforms
  • Ensure all process are comprehensively documented for all key operational areas
  • Contribute towards the continual improvement of internal processes making sure they are optimised and updated to stay current, efficient, and effective with the latest practices and needs of the team and clients
  • Assist the rollout and implementation of new processes to stakeholders as required e.g. through documentation, training, office hours support
  • Contribute towards the definition, implementation and effectiveness of data integrity methodologies and processes across the team including but not limited to quality assurance initiatives for all client facing data.
  • Share and drive compliance of all required quality assurance practices, outlined processes and standards
  • Maintain best practices e.g. naming conventions
  • Liaise with other teams as required to define and deploy mapping and integration between platforms and other tools
  • Participate and support the assessment of platforms as required
  • Ensure accuracy of reports, calculations, data sources and versions.

Reporting and Data Analysis

  • Act as business adviser to the internal team clarifying reporting/data requirements and requests to ensure accurate and meaningful reports and insights are provided
  • Assist in the process of creating reports and analysis to inform and enhance both business and campaign strategy as require ed.
  • Ensure reporting of spend is being maintained, Global Spend Tracker (GST) and provide analysis on spending trends and changes as required and needed
  • Ensure accuracy of reports, calculations, data sources and versions.

CRM Database

  • Ensure contact information for clients and Dell MC team are maintained
  • Analyse and report performance of marketing efforts using the CRM database

Other key duties

  • Support GAD in data requirements for AdHoc projects
  • Support other ops deliverables as required including but not limited to:
    • Newsletter development
    • Dell Rooster Tool Management

Knowledge and Skillsets

  • 2 – 3 years experience, Prior media agency experience as an assistant / analyst preferred
  • Proficient in business tools including not limited to Excel, PowerPoint, Tableau etc.
  • Analytical background, statistics, interpreting data, creating data visualisations (charts and graphs)
  • Adept data entry skills
  • Project management and organisational skills
