With most of the restrictions now lifted in the UK and international travel back, some people are hitting the road again.
Even if they’re not already travelling, many are ready to start booking future trips. After over a year with little travel, this week we are looking at brands sending a positive message and harnessing the excitement of holidays to connect with people.
Chocolate Heaven
Recently, Simone Biles has proved that she is even more of an inspiration than ever. After suffering from the ‘twisties’, which gymnasts describe as a kind of mental block, and withdrawing from the women’s final to protect her mental health, she returned for the beam on the final day of artistic gymnastics winning a bronze medal. Biles has once again become a true hero for prioritising her wellbeing and her courage shows, yet again, why she is a role model for so many.

What the Cluck?!
Just when we thought we’d seen it all, KFC have launched a fried chicken-themed hotel in Shoreditch. Of course, they have. KFC are taking experiential to a new level, and it’s finger-lickin' good.

The ad features a real-life member of the airline’s cabin crew standing on the very top of the iconic skyscraper, using cards to promote Emirates. Whilst it may look terrifying, at 1.2m wide the space on the top of the building is still almost three times wider than most airline seats…

Mickey here we come!
Living in Scotland we know we can get four season's in one day so we are big fans of the "hot holiday". This week we were delighted to find out that Virgin Atlantic will be running dedicated flights from Edinburgh Airport to Barbados and Orlando. 2022 is looking a whole lot brighter.
That's it for this week but you can also get more great insight and content from MediaCom Edinburgh by following us on social media and checking out some of our other content below.
