As lockdown continues, MediaCom overcame geographical barriers as we held our first ever virtual Glass Wall Network panel event.
MediaCom’s Chief Transformation Officer, Sue Unerman, and Pearl & Dean’s CEO, Kathryn Jacob OBE, were joined by Sarah Jenkins, MD of Saatchi and Saatchi and Kate Rowlinson, MediaCom UK’s CEO from their respective homes, as they discussed coronavirus, the challenges they’re facing at the moment and other examples of adversity that they have had to face in their careers.
Based on the quote by Eleanor Roosevelt that ‘A woman is like a tea bag – you can’t tell how strong she is until you put her in hot water,’ the panel discussed their own experiences of challenging situations and how they overcame them – a topic which perhaps resonates more now than ever before. In addition, they discussed the positive outcomes from lockdown and the new warmth that they’ve found in their colleagues as they join meetings from their homes, surrounded by their loved ones.
The Glass Wall Network is an initiative for clients and media partners inspired by Sue and Kathryn’s bestselling book; The Glass Wall: Success strategies for women at work and businesses that mean business. The Glass Wall Network is open to everyone who believes that the workplace can only thrive if everyone is included and the events arm their attendees with the tactics needed to smash glass walls.
