MediaCom has recently run its first-ever Festival of Innovation alongside digital consultancy arm, BLINK.
The event was designed to help create new, innovative media partnerships and the sessions saw 35 of our trading partners host 15-minute ‘slam’ sessions to showcase their most innovative products.
The Innovation Slam was the opportunity for our media partners, of all sizes and experience, to pitch ideas on how best to work with clients and agencies alike, including innovative products to aid the relationship and bring new, exciting campaigns to market.
The event helped our media planners take a step back and think about how we can always be putting our clients at the forefront of the disruption that brands have seen in the wake of the pandemic. The event aligned with MediaCom’s vision to See The Bigger Picture by giving our planning teams further insight into the newest developments in the market.
The sessions involved our Media Partners and MediaCom planning teams, as well as consultants from BLINK and MediaCom, with the goal being to match the best innovative ideas from our partners with MediaCom clients. The sessions have already led to the generation of new ideas which are being developed by teams across the agency. This allows MediaCom to factor in new and interesting ideas and products into client campaigns, considering smaller businesses who may not have already been in partnership with the brands.
Lindsey Jordan, our Head of Media Creativity, said: “We wanted brands to better understand how innovation through technology, products and platforms can help them prepare for the future. For many brands ‘innovation’ has just become a buzzword, so we wanted to use the event as a springboard to creating advertising campaigns that are then paired with invested media owners and partners.”
