Mars wins second Drum Award this year for their first ever Snapchat-powered, augmented reality scavenger hunt!
Towards the start of this year our Mars Wrigley Confectionery team launched the unique and exciting scavenger hunt campaign for Maltesers. The campaign’s success was highlighted last week when it won “Best use of Mobile” in the Drum Out of Home Awards. The campaign has also won after previously winning “Best use of Snapchat” at the Drum Social Buzz Awards earlier this year!
Malteasers’ campaign encouraged 18-34 year olds throughout the country to be outside and participate in the hunt for the Maltesers Bunnies that “escaped the Mars Factory”. On the side of telephone boxes across the nation, engagers could find one of the bunnies to scan for the chance to win £5000! Those who lost out were told how far away the nearest “win” poster was from them by being taken to a website which displayed the potential win/loss sites nearby. This interactive campaign is a great example of how well Outdoor and Social can work together.
