Steve Gladdis has been promoted to EMEA Chief Strategy Officer (CSO), following a successful period as UK CSO. Geoff de Burca will succeed Gladdis as MediaCom UK’s new CSO.
Geoff has been MediaCom UK’s Head of Strategy since 2015, responsible for running the agency’s team of strategists as well as leading the Social Change Hub – our network of clients and media experts that integrate behaviour change principles into communications to help drive social change. Additionally, Geoff was responsible as Strategy Lead for some of the agency’s largest clients, including Cancer Research UK and Tesco.

Steve Gladdis, who has been at MediaCom since 1994, has been instrumental in a number of strategic client wins, including our successful re-pitch for Sky, which saw MediaCom reappointed to the largest media account in the UK. During Steve’s three years as UK CSO, MediaCom received significant industry recognition and accolades, including being named as the top agency in the WARC Media Ranking and being named the Cannes Lions Media Network of the Year in 2018.

In addition, Steve is an IPA Effectiveness Champion, and for the last two years he has co-hosted MediaCom’s EffWeek conference for clients and media owner partners, which aims to improve the industry’s understanding of how marketing communications can drive business growth.
In his new position, Steve will focus on further developing MediaCom’s planning capability and culture across its EMEA offices.
