This role will be dedicated to the Petcare business, which led by MediaCom is undergoing an exciting and significant transformation in how they plan, buy and measure media. Pet care have moved from a historically TV led approach to a data centric, agile and digital focussed strategy (with 50% of Global media investment now in Digital), which has seen large investment in a range of exciting, bold and industry leading approaches. One of the largest being their approach to 1st party data and the ability to reach actual pet owners with relevant and impactful communications.

The Role and key responsibilities

Working with the Global Digital Director, you will assume responsibility for creating best in class digital strategies, supporting the markets in how they activate against these strategies and helping to design a modern, future facing data focussed vision for the future.

In this exciting and new role you will;

  • Support the Digital Director and Programmatic Director in scaling out the 1PD programmatic strategic across all 10 priority markets. Updating existing and designing new market guidance in order to best support this.
  • Support the Digital Director and Data team on designing a Global roll out T&L plan for Future ID pilots. Whilst the business is currently heavily reliant on MAIDS, we need to guide Mars to the most effective longer term ID solution for the business.
  • Support the Programmatic Director on the development of a Global ‘programmatic’ playbook and Beeswax under the hood guide.
  • Own local market digital KPI governance and tracking overviews.
  • Support the team on the development of and ongoing tracking of 1PD programmatic efficiencies by market/region.
  • Lead the development of the ‘High Value Audience’ digital activation guidance and support markets on implementational best practice.
  • Support the Global Digital Director on the next stage development of the Global DCO approach and a clear market guide on dos and don’ts when using DCO.
  • Support the team on the development of a digital app download global guidance approach, including a clear structure for data capture and enrichment.
  • Support the Digital Director on the development of and roll out of digital capability training documents and sessions for markets and clients.
  • Support the Digital Director on local market naming convention governance.
  • Support the team on all adhoc digital client requests where appropriate.
  • Build and manage the global digital ‘transformations’ reporting structure to capture learnings and insights
  • Build relationships with the key global platform partners (DSPs, technology partners, data providers and buying partners)
  • Be able to manage centrally owned strategy and advise multi-market, locally executed campaigns, ensuring the same high standards, best practise, test and learn and KPIs are shared.
  • Be able to face off with knowledgeable clients

Skills, Behaviours and Experience Required

  • Positive and passionate approach that motivates the markets & champions team successes with clients
  • It is essential that the candidate has a strong understanding of the broad digital landscape and a good knowledge specifically of the programmatic landscape
  • Excellent presentation skills (writing and delivery) and comfortable dealing with senior global clients.
  • The ability to challenge clients in a structured and well thought through way
  • Must be curious about data analytics and how that impacts the planning process
  • Must be very knowledge about the technologies used to support online and/or mobile advertising operations inc. ad serving, audience management tools, inventory applications, tagging, viewability measurement etc.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and prioritise responsibilities
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-pace environment
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Keen problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
  • Well-versed in the Microsoft Office suite specifically, Excel and PowerPoint
