According to the Checkout Top 100 Brands listings, produced in association with Nielsen, Coca-Cola has held on to the title of the biggest-selling brand in Ireland for the 13th year in a row. Cadbury Dairy Milk places second on the list, while the majority is dominated by Irish brands, including Avonmore (third), Brennans (fourth) and Tayto (sixth).
Elsewhere, the Top 100 Categories list, measuring the best-selling categories in the Irish grocery landscape, sees no change to the top five: Confectionery is the biggest-selling category, just ahead of Milk (second), Bakery (third), Carbonated Soft Drinks (fourth) and Biscuits (fifth). The report also reveals that Irish consumer confidence is displaying positive growth:

This report emphasizes that the Irish grocery sector is continuing to see positive growth.
Findings in the report further indicate that Irish brands in particular are performing well, as four of the top six brands are Irish owned. Consumer confidence is also on an upward trajectory which is excellent news for brand progression, which may be responsible for expanded growth that certain brands are likely to experience in the near future. The report casts positive light on the future of Ireland’s economy and in particular the Irish grocery sector.
