Storytelling, innovation and authenticity key themes at fringe event
The future of content marketing faced a stirring exploration at last week’s MediaCom Salon at SXSW, with global leaders of technology, advertising and entertainment coming together to discuss how brands can stand out in an increasingly cluttered landscape.
Innovation, storytelling, authenticity and collaboration were among the key themes that emerged throughout the two-day session, which was hosted by MediaCom Beyond Advertising as an exclusive offering during the world-famous SXSW music, film and interactive festival in Austin, Texas.
“We have to think of new ways to tell stories with new media in a way that best personifies what that medium is really good at,” said Ikrima Elhassan, co-founder of Kite & Lightning, a creative development studio specializing in virtual reality.
Jefferson Hack, the legendary co-founder of the Dazed Group, echoed his sentiment, arguing that today, it’s “a risk not to take risks.”
