Talks from the Salon at SXSW

Watch inspiring talks from MediaCom Beyond Advertising's flagship event – The Salon in Austin, Texas – which took place during the 30th annual SXSW festival, representing the future of innovation, film and music.

Across two days between March 15th-16th, MediaCom Beyond Advertising played host to MediaCom clients and friends in a curated space, against the backdrop of SXSW. Under the banner of ‘Hello Tomorrow’, we shared our view of the future, looking at the best technology bets for brands, how to achieve stand-out status through storytelling, and also how we might determine new models for success, in a world of seemingly infinite choice for the audience.

Watch inspiring talks from industry experts who spoke during our two-day event, now live on our dedicated Tumblr hub. Day 1 set the scene with Nick Palmer and James Morris discussing the core themes for the event in their talk ‘Hello Tomorrow’. They were then followed by a wealth of great speakers from MediaCom and beyond. Day 2 really delivered on emotion – there were both goosebumps and tears aplenty, thanks to some fantastic content from pioneers who are using technology as a force for good. Speakers included Mick Ebeling, founder of Not Impossible Labs, Laurence Kemball-Cook of Pavegen and Giles Rhys-Jones of What3words.
