MediaCom wins a D&AD Pencil

MediaCom Denmark is awarded a prestigious Pencil in the media category at the D&AD awards

MediaCom picked up a D&AD Pencil at last night’s ceremony in London for an innovative Instagram campaign.

United Against Abuse, on behalf of Danish domestic violence centre Danner, transformed some of Denmark’s biggest influencers into virtual victims of physical assault. Tapping on the screen literally demonstrated the trauma and harm that victims experience.

The power of the execution was such that it organically reached 1.7m people, driving huge awareness of the issue as well as educating people on how to spot domestic abuse.

The execution received a Wood Pencil in the Best Use of Interactive category in the Media section of the awards.

“We are thrilled to have this recognition of our efforts on behalf of Danner, which performs a vital function in protecting some of the most vulnerable people in our community. We are glad to have been able to put our media thinking to such a positive cause and to have that recognised at such a prestigious global show,” said Morten Kristensen, CEO of MediaCom Denmark.
