MediaCom secures number one spot on COMvergence Barometer report

According to the latest COMvergence New Business Barometer Q1-Q3 17, MediaCom has topped the media agency list for the 3rd quarter in succession, with the highest number of new business wins and retentions.

This result is mainly due to securing the business of clients such as PSA, Walgreens Boots Alliance and Richemont, which contributed to a gain of $1.4bn of new billings. MediaCom also retained the business of P&G in Germany and FAW Volkswagen in China.

Of the top six media agency groups, GroupM remained at number one with +$2.8bn in total new business gains and retentions.

COMvergence’s quarterly report RADAR / New Business Barometer provides a comprehensive analysis and assessment examining major global, regional and local media pitches & moves that had been completed during the past quarter. Agency and Group rankings are provided based on total new business results (new clients wins – losses + retentions).

This present study is built upon the assessment of 750 media pitches and moves completed between January and September 2017 in 21 key markets.
