Kevin Johnson – Chief Executive Officer

Kevin Johnson is a seasoned media professional who brought 20+ years of industry experience across agencies and categories with him when he joined MediaCom as the Chief Client Officer in 2014. Less than a year later he was appointed as CEO and since then has helped the agency grow it’s footprint outside of Media Planning & Buying to include Content Creation, Business Analytics, and most recently creating divisions that serve Sports & Entertainment and connecting with diverse communities. Since he has been in role, MediaCom has seen significant new business growth with the addition of brands like Uber,, Aldo, Roots, Sony, BC Lotteries, Duracell and Adidas.

Kevin stands out as a leader in the media industry for professional success but more than that, for his commitment to actively participating and impacting the industry and world around him. He believes strongly in the importance affecting meaningful change in the community and encourages his teams and clients to do the same – which has led to significant support for a long list of charitable organizations: The Heart & Stroke Foundation, The Daily Bread Food Bank, Canadian Blood Services, Sick Kids, the Canadian Cancer Society’s Run for the Cure, and Skylark Children, Youth and Families.

Continuing this belief on a personal level, Kevin is a dedicated community mentor in Rexdale (where he grew up), a strong supporter of Trust 15, a group that provides social and educational tools to success in society through mentorship and serves on the board of the Children’s Wish Ontario Chapter and Hot Docs International. A proud father of three, Neveah 12, Keenan 11, and Cali 7; Kevin is a true family man and loves nothing more than family time with a game of Trouble.

Urania Agas – President

Urania Agas is the President of MediaCom Canada, responsible for the day-to-day operations of the agency, strategic planning and team leadership. During her 9-year tenure at MediaCom, she has led both local and global businesses, building strong client partnership, driving operational excellence and developing talent into senior roles. Her experience across categories includes clients like Expedia Group, CIBC, Canadian Tire, Kraft and P&G, to name a few. She is an inspiring, determined leader, partnering with our CEO and MediaCom’s senior leadership to continue to deliver the very best our agency has to offer.

Ken Lee – Chief Financial Officer

As Chief Financial Officer for MediaCom Canada, Ken manages the company’s bottom line. With 20+ years of financial management experience, treasury, corporate administration - Human Resource and Legal, coupled with a strong involvement and leadership role in the operations for all divisions, Ken is a well-respected manager and quarterback for MediaCom’s financial team.

Mr. Lee joined MediaCom in June 2008 after many years Arnold Worldwide and MPG Canada Inc., where he worked his way through, beginning as a Financial Analyst to the top role of Executive Vice-President/Chief Financial Officer. He is recognized for developing and controlling budgets by negotiating cost controls, creating strategic reporting packages and formulating best practices utilized by all divisions of the organization.

Ken earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Western Ontario and holds his Certified Management Accountant designation. He is a Member of the Society of Management Accountants and a Member of the Financial Executives International.

David Crammond – Managing Director, Investment

David Crammon

David Crammond is currently the Managing Director of Investment. He offers an impressive skill set that make him a crucial part of the MediaCom team. Specifically, his skills in, executional strategy, media supplier negotiations, and client value delivery. David is an experienced leader and takes a hands-on approach when leading his team. His understanding of clients’ business issues allows David to find outcome-based solutions in an ever-changing media ecosystem.

David has a long history of delivering value to client. He has experience as both a media buyer and planner, and has been at the lead of several major auto retail and CPG businesses, before focusing his efforts in trading in 2007. As an original member of the GroupM Trading Council, David helped transform GroupM Canada into its current position as a market leader in providing clients with maximum value for their media investment.

In his free time, David loves listening to music and is an avid golfer. He can go late into the night watching a band and still get up with the sun to make a tee time.

Lisa Pietersen – VP, People

Lisa is a seasoned HR professional committed to partnering with leaders to enable business strategies with effective HR solutions and leads the HR strategy and vision for the Canadian team. She has a keen focus on culture and diversity and is instrumental in WM being continually named on the Great Places to Work list for Canada as one of the only media agencies to make the list.

Grace Ahlberg – SVP, Business Intelligence

Grace Ahlberg joined MediaCom Canada from the GroupM-Nordics in February 2020, where she held the position of Chief Development Officer, responsible for identifying growth for clients through consulting. She built transformative ecosystems of data and technology that empowered businesses to create seamless and winning brand-customer journeys. Prior to that Grace spent most of her 15+ years career in London working on P&G and Reckitt Benckiser on both the client and agency sides of the business, working on various global and regional assignments. During her time with P&G, Grace’s key responsibility was product launch qualifications and white space expansions. While on the agency side, she was more involved in the development of go-to-market communication strategies for brands including Oral B and Gillette.

In her role of SVP, Business Intelligence, Grace is responsible for the holistic oversight of the department, consulting with clients on measurement strategies, and delivering on everything from custom research work, through to attribution and advanced market mix modeling.

Jim Kozak – SVP, MediaCom Sports & Entertainment

Jim Kozak joins MediaCom as Vice President, Sport & Entertainment. Jim leads a team that ensures that MediaCom’s clients’ sponsorship activities are industry leading and aligned with their wider communication objectives to drive business success. He works closely with MediaCom Beyond Advertising to bring all partner programming to life across all relevant communication channels.

Other past leadership roles included being the Senior Director of Marketing, B2B & Sports Partnerships for CBC/SRC. Kozak ideated and built CBC’s current “Road to the Olympics Games” Sports Strategy, which included the creation of “RBC Training Ground”, a program that identifies Canada’s next Olympic athletes.

Kieran Miles – SVP, Strategy

Kieran Miles is a strategic leader with almost 20 years of success building and growing brands. Kieran brings a breadth of experience working across clients and agencies, in roles spanning every aspect of communications – from media to content strategy, to creative and public relations, and has been a pivotal team member for Bayer. He’s been with MediaCom since 2015, and today he is responsible for the strategic product of the agency.

Originally from the UK, Kieran has helped grow brands on both sides of the Atlantic, in a range of sectors including FMCG, government, retail, financial services, gaming and healthcare. At MediaCom, he’s been instrumental in delivering innovative strategies for some of our largest clients, including Bayer, CIBC, Mars Wrigley, Adidas, Uber and Indeed.

Kieran’s experience enables him to bring a unique consumer centric approach to every challenge. This means he is always pushing clients to both stay focused on winning with today’s consumers and to prepare for the trends that will drive growth in the future.

Darren Hardeman – SVP, Digital Strategy

For the past 18 years, Darren has dedicated his professional life to digital media. He is one of the original digital media pioneers and remains very passionate of the evolution of the entire industry where technology and marketing continue to intertwine. Having previously worked at OMD, Mindshare, Olive Media and Excelerator/Maxus, he has developed a repertoire of extensive and innovative industry experience.

Darren is currently the SVP, Digital Strategy and responsible for the Digital Media product across the agency as well as working with clients to continue to elevate their knowledge and working on delivering collaboratively developed flawless executions.

Hardeman lives in Toronto with his wife and two kids, where he is their soccer coach and hockey chauffeur.

Lindsay Wilson – Director, Content, Influencer & Media partnerships

Lindsay Wilson has been with MediaCom for over 13 years, and she is responsible for the leading the development of strategic content marketing, brand integration and influencer partnerships. Her work over the years has resulted in many awards for the agency and her clients, including Media Innovation Awards, ATOMIC, SMCC (Sponsorship Marketing Council of Canada), Internationalist and even a Cannes Lion. She sits on several industry boards, including the IAB Branded Content Committee, InfluenceTHIS Advisory board, Branded Content Marketing Association, and she was a contributor to Canada’s first IAB Branded Content Guide for Marketers. She is also a judge for the international Content Marketing Awards.

Her experience has spanned across every brand category including CPG, financial, government services, automotive, retail, QSR, beauty, consumer electronics, and beverage alcohol. Current and past clients include Bayer, Mars Wrigley, Diageo, Whirlpool, CIBC, Starbucks, Shell, OLG, Uber, Canon, Hasbro, Dairy Queen and many others. Her expertise spans across multiple channels and platforms from broadcast to digital, print to podcast, radio to social media. Given the nature of Lindsay’s work, she has built strong relationships with an impressive number of partners over the years, in the media and production space and beyond.

Alison Demelis – Senior Director, New Business & Marketing Communications

Alison Demelis is an important part of the MediaCom family leading both Marketing and New Business for the agency. In her dual role she is responsible for developing agency-growth strategies, as well as the planning, development and implementation of MediaCom marketing strategies.

Prior to joining MediaCom, Demelis was the Director of National Sales at Cue Digital Media where she steered her clients to success by uncovering impactful consumer insights helping them navigate the fast-shifting media landscape and developing the right custom solutions across digital, social and mobile media.

During her career, Alison has worked with every media discipline and has full media model fluency. Alison held the title of Group Manager, The Mix - at Bell Media (formerly Astral Media) for over 10 years, where she developed an in-depth understanding of how to combine OOH, radio, television and digital to create multiplatform solutions for clients when others were still working in siloed environments.

In her spare time Alison is usually traveling with her 18 year old son, or cleaning up after him. She also spends many weekends cooking at her local restaurant in Leslieville.
