MediaCom Australia has been named Media Agency Network of the Year by AdNews. The network picked up the award of the AdNews Agency Awards of the Year, where MediaCom Sydney also won the title of Media Agency of the Year.
The accolades come after a hugely successful 2010 in which the agency won nearly $170m of new business including clients such as IAG, Yum! And Amaysin.
Speaking afterwards, Toby Jenner, CEO MediaCom Australia, said "I have been delighted with our progress over the last year and it is great that our team have gained the external recognition that they so richly deserve. We just need to replicate it again in 2011; we've already had a great start by winning the Electronic Arts business. I'd like to personally thank everyone of our MediaCom team who have helped make MediaCom the best media Agency and Network in Australia."
The AdNews Agency of the Year Awards started in 1986 with the announcement of a single award. They now cover 14 agency categories, plus an overall winner named the AdNews Agency of the Year. Entries from agencies are submitted each January and evaluated by an independent panel of senior marketing executives. The AdNews Awards dinner is the event of the year for advertising executives.
