Theresa O'Connell, a human resources
professional with more than 25 years' experience, was Managing
Partner, Head of Human Resources and Talent for MediaCom Canada, a
newly created position.
The announcement was made by MediaCom
Canada CEO Jamie Edwards, who said
O'Connell's new role is effective immediately.
"In her new role, O'Connell's mandate
is to put HR & Talent leadership at the very heart of our
business. As a member of the senior leadership team she will have
overall responsibility for developing and leading all of MediaCom's
HR, Talent & training activities reporting directly to me" said
Edwards.
"As we continue to evolve as an
agency, Theresa brings new skills and diversity of experience to
our existing team that reflects the rapidly evolving communications
landscape" Edwards said in making the announcement. "At MediaCom,
our promise is "People first, better results" and talent needs to
be the centre of that. Theresa's vision and leadership will allow
us to live and deliver on that promise every day."
Prior to joining MediaCom, Theresa
worked in a senior level HR capacity for creative and media
agencies, financial services and the direct sales industry.

MediaCom has several initiatives worldwide, like our Freshness
Programme and the annual 'If I ran the company' competition which
will help create a challenging and creative environment for our
people" said O'Connell. "Along with my own varied experience, I'm
excited to bring this philosophy to life in MediaCom Canada.
Theresa joins Matt Di Paola, who was
hired by MediaCom in August, as members of MediaCom Canada's senior
leadership team.
