MediaCom Canada awarded Mobilicity business

MediaCom Canada has been awarded media planning and buying responsibilities for the Mobilicity business in Canada effective 1st December.

The win marked the third major new business win awarded to MediaCom Canada this year; as the agency added Mars-Wrigley brands and Yum! Restaurants Canada to its client roster in 2011.

"As Canada's smart mobile carrier, we are impressed by MediaCom's ability to cleverly and efficiently leverage media to help us grow our business and our brand," said Anthony Booth, Mobilicity's Chief Customer Officer. "We are confident that our partnership with MediaCom and its strength in media, insight, business sciences and analytics will play an important role in driving strategic thinking through to execution".

The assignment is effective 1st December although MediaCom will work on several projects with immediate effect, said Jamie Edwards, CEO of MediaCom Canada. The business will be managed by a team working out of MediaCom's office in Toronto.

"We are excited by the opportunity to work with such a dynamic, progressive and pioneering brand", said Edwards. "We love to help grow brands. That is what we do and we look forward to partnering with Mobilicity to accelerate their growth by using media in a way that creates a positive measurable impact for them".
