
David Coates has been appointed
National SEO Director at MediaCom Australia, where he will be
responsible for business development, product development, client
strategy and innovation alongside Ben Bale, MediaCom's newly
appointed SEO Strategist. He has previously developed advanced and
innovative SEO strategies for Cheap Flights, Barclays, Suncorp,
AAMI and Accor Hotels.
Coats will report to Stuart
Beckingham, National Group Director of Search for MediaCom who
leads a rapidly growing team of 21 search specialists across
Sydney, Melbourne & Brisbane, and has recently picked up the
SEO business for Universal Music, Eukanuba, Braun, Venus and Oral
B.

MediaCom's monthly search billings
nationally have more than doubled, as has the size of the search
team since Beckingham arrived in July 2010. The strong
growth has been largely a result of providing our clients
integrated solutions which allows use vital data and insights to
support ongoing optimisation of not only our clients' search
campaigns but offline and online media channels.

With a degree in physics and a career
in marketing, Coats loves the mixing of technology with business
