
MediaCom Norway is now officially the
largest media agency in the nation. Headed by CEO Ruben Søgaard,
the office has enjoyed great success over the last year and
successfully increased media billings to 1.45 billion NOK. Bringing
in more than 500 million NOK of new billings in 2010 alone, the
agency is now the country's single largest media agency by a clear
margin. The agency's revenue has also grown by 16 % to 93.1 million
NOK last year, with profits increasing by 53 %.
Over the last year or so, the
Norwegians have secured some great client wins such as Tele 2, Star
Tour and the Agricultural cooperatives, manufacturers of brands
such as Tine and Nortura. SAS and IKEA also chose to renew their
contracts.
"It is fun to be the greatest, but
it's even more important that we deliver quality work to each and
every one of our clients," says Ruben. "MediaCom is now a different
agency to the one that existed in 2009, and I believe that we have
won so many new contracts recently based on this."
Reflecting this great success, Ruben
has worked hard to expand the team over the last 18 months.
Currently, the office has around 90 employees. "Our success is a
result of the exceptional efforts of our staff. The workload has
significantly increased over the last year, which is a true
indicator of our growth," says Ruben.
