The BRW survey, Best Places to Work
2011, lists the top 50 best employers nationally.
Toby Jenner, CEO, MediaCom Australia,
said "What is so gratifying is that 60% of the survey is a direct
measure of the Great Places to Work Cultural Audit which was
completed by our people nationally. This achievement is simply a
reflection of how our team feels about working at MediaCom in
comparison to other businesses".
MediaCom set about developing and
articulating the agency's culture 18 months ago with the
appointment of Efi Richter to the role of Head of People and
Culture. In the intervening period the agency has introduced a
number of industry leading initiatives which include a unique set
of company behaviours, developed by their people for their people,
which inform how they hire, reward and recognise their people. This
includes the introduction of a "Work Life Balance" programme that
facilitates changes to embrace individual lifestyle choices to help
deliver a much looked-for work life balance.
Efi Richter, National Head of People
and Culture, said "Our biggest strength is our people, so it is
makes sense to put them at the centre of everything that we do. It
is our people who create our unique culture and the achievements
that come with it. It is humbling to be acknowledged; equally it
validates our commitment to developing our people, and the
importance of creating an environment that people want to come to
everyday".
