Jeffrey L. Hinz, a media agency executive with extensive experience in both digital and traditional platforms and channels, was named Managing Partner, Digital Director, for MediaCom U.S. The announcement was made by MediaCom North America CEO Harvey Goldhersz.

In this role, Hinz will oversee the agency's entire digital operation as well as provide thought leadership and strategic guidance for all existing and emerging digital media initiatives including display, video, SEO, SEM, mobile, social and emerging media.  He also will collaborate with agency managers on the deployment and integration of MediaCom's digital offering and lead the agency's overall strategic approach with key growth clients while maximizing potential within existing accounts.

"It's no secret that digital communications will continue to play an increasingly larger role in our clients' marketing strategies," Goldhersz said.  "Jeff's background and wide experience make him ideally suited to provide the kind of management and insight that we need to ensure that MediaCom's digital offering is strong, strategic, integrated and successful."

Hinz comes to MediaCom from ID Media, where he has worked since 2009 as Senior Vice President, Director of Digital and Emerging Media.  In that role, he oversaw all digital and social media planning and buying activities for a wide range of clients including Johnson & Johnson, L'Oreal, Maybelline, SC Johnson, Subaru, Jose Cuervo and Nikon, among others.  He joined the company in 2002 as Senior Vice President, Director of Client Services.

Prior to joining ID Media, he worked as General Manager/Vice President of Marketing for K2 Digital, a leading Silicon Alley pioneer, from 2001-2002.  He joined the company in 1999 as Executive Media Director and was named Executive Director of Marketing Strategy in late 2000.

He is a graduate of Arizona State University in Tempe, AZ, where he earned a bachelor's degree in marketing and a minor in computer electrical engineering.
