MediaCom Australia appoints Juan Laverde to Data Role

MediaCom has hired Juan Laverde as Director of Data to further strengthen MediaCom's business and econometric modelling offer.

Juan will have responsibility for turning data into tangible business insights across a number of MediaCom's clients to further fuel their business success. Prior to joining MediaCom Juan was at OMD as Metrics Director before which he set up Unilever's econometric techniques and developed their in house Marketing Mix Modelling.


He will report to Harry Jayaweera, Head of the Response Group (TRG), who leads a team of 24 direct response specialists with skills ranging from search to data to analytics to online and offline planning and buying. TRG is responsible for over sixty clients which include; IAG, Amaysim, Fonality, Macquarie Bank and Dell.

Juan's hire comes on the back of a tremendous 2010 for MediaCom with new business wins of $170m.

Juan joins MediaCom in mid May.
