Brown's remit is to align the business and people strategies to
facilitate an increase in the potential and performance of MediaCom
talent around the world. She will be working alongside Stephen
Allan and the Worldwide ExCo of MediaCom from the London office to
help with the identification and development of best practice
programs.
In line with the company's People First ethos, Helen will also
be improving learning and development programmes with a focus on
leadership to further enhance the career progression of MediaCom
employees. Helen will be working with regional management teams to
identify emerging talent and develop attraction and retention plans
by market.
Helen's 20 years of experience of international advertising and
marketing agencies sets her apart from the usual HR Director. Most
recently Helen spent 4 years at integrated agency iris, where she
worked alongside the founding partners to grow the agency from 60
to 600 people and was instrumental in the launch of the people
strategy across 11 offices globally. Unusually, Helen began her
career as a creative, moving into the commercial arena some 10
years later to become Managing Director of digital agency I-D Media
and Managing Partner of Draft before joining iris.
Helen says of the appointment "The role at MediaCom is a
fabulous opportunity. My passion is people, and with MediaCom I
have found a company who truly believe in this too. To work
alongside people such as Stephen Allan who has such a clear vision
and excitement for growing MediaCom globally and for developing the
very best talent around the world is, I believe, a unique position
for a media agency."
Stephen Allan, CEO MediaCom Worldwide, comments "We are
exceptionally excited to have Helen working with us as Worldwide
Chief Talent Director. We are confident that with her experience
MediaCom will guarantee that all employees across the globe are
given every opportunity to maximise their potential and thereby
enjoy a long and fulfilling career within the group."
