I joined MediaCom back in 2002. I had been working at a small
full service agency in San Francisco when a couple of people moved
over to work at Grey. They convinced me that I should move over to,
at that time, Beyond Interactive and continue working with them.
After a couple of interviews and meeting the people there I knew
I'd love the place.
While I was working there Oracle unfortunately went up for
review. Fraser Riddell, (MediaCom Global Business Development
Director) who was running International then, came over from London
to represent EMEA. We immediately hit it off and had a great time
working together. After he left I had an urge to go and work for
him in London and after a few months Fraser had put the wheel s in
motion for me to move to London and work on International
Digital.
Not long after I arrived in London MediaCom was just starting to
take off in digital and with the arrival of Kirsti Wilson and
Stefan Bardega, amongst others, things went from strength to
strength. It was with Kirsti and Stefan and the Nokia global
digital business that I was able to build up the international
digital team.
During my time in London I travelled all over the world but
found Asia the most appealing place and the only region that I
hadn't worked in yet. So when the opportunity came to help build
MediaCom Interaction in APAC with Kevin Clarke, the regional CEO, I
put my hand up immediately.
Eighteen months later I'm spending a lot of time on the road but
I get to visit some of the most amazing places in the world and
spend time with all the friends at MediaCom I've made over the
years.
